NEOTEC PROJECT
On 31.03.2023, Cyclomed Technologies completed successfully one of its most ambitious projects aimed at developing the magnetic and cryogenic system of a Cyclotron equipment.
The NEOTEC project started in 2020 with the CDTI grant and during these years all the technical objectives have been completed in order to face with guarantees the subsequent implementation of a solvent business plan.
The evolution and development of the product portfolio during the NEOTEC project has been highly positive. As part of the company’s strategy, it has been decided to «spin out» certain subsystems of the cyclotron and add them to the Cyclomed Tecnologies portfolio with their own entity due to their commercial interest.
These products are now integrated into 3 new verticals:
– Medical accelerators:
- Superconducting cyclotron for the production of radioisotopes.
- Low erosion ion source
– Energy storage systems:
- Superconducting magnetic energy storage, SMES
– R&D: Cryogenics and applied superconductivity:
- Cryogenic delivery system
- Superconducting linear machine
The seed of this strategy was already proposed in the NEOTEC project, and has been successfully implemented.
